Can you give some information about yourself, including your education background and your career to date?
I studied Vietnamese traditional medicine in The University of Medicine and Pharmacy at Ho Chi Minh city, Vietnam. I've had a part-time job at VOV (Voice of Vietnam – the radio station) as a speaker and editor for the past 2 years.

Are you working at the moment? If so, where?
In regards to professional field, I am employed by Public Health faculty in The University of Medicine and Pharmacy at Ho Chi Minh city as a Statistics and Epidemiology lecturer.

Why did you choose Oxford Brookes?
I wanted to start the course in January, and Brookes has this intake, and has a good review for public health programmes. I like the Oxford city environment (which I knew in advance through my best friend). The tuition fee is also a plus.

What have been the best parts of your student experience?
Working with my supervisor and discussing with other lecturers made me feel more confident and gave me more space to be creative.

What are you hoping to do when your course is finished how do you expect it to help your future career?
As a novice in the public health area, I want to gain my experience and knowledge of the field by working for NGOs. I also want to spread out what I have learnt and help others have a better look about public health since PH is not well understand in Vietnam.

Would you recommend your course to others?
Yes, I could. For the one who want to experience a peaceful university life in countryside area, yet want to have a little “noisy” and busy study in school.
